– Con medicamentos controlados, resto de población no tiene riesgo a muerte

La viruela del mono, que se produce de animales a humanos o entre las propias personas al ser viral, pone en riesgo únicamente a niños o ancianos con comorbilidades. El resto de la población se encuentra protegido con medicamentos controlados que son de tratamiento sintomático como es fiebre, dolores de cabeza, musculares y a nivel de axila, pero también a aquellos que causan lesiones en la piel.
Así lo dio a conocer el médico Rubén Alfaro Carranza al ser abordado por EL INDEPENDIENTE TV, comentó que en consecuencia no produce la muerte. Hasta el momento en México se han detectado 49 casos de los que 29 fueron registrados en la Ciudad de México y el resto en otros 10 Estados del país, de los que Jalisco con 1, el más cercano a Michoacán.
Comentó que, aunque hay vacunas en la actualidad contra la enfermedad no están difundidas a la población por el costo y el otro factor es porque se menosprecia que no hay muertos en consideración, de manera que no las hay a la venta al público y todo se limita al tratamiento sintomático.
“Se presenta en diferentes etapas que puede ir de 5 a 6 semanas. Las lesiones comienzan en la parte de la cara, de los dedos, de las manos, pies y después de allí lo que es fiebre, dolores de cabeza, musculares y también a nivel de axilas y las lesiones en la piel. Lo único que se puede hacer en estos casos es que en caso de contagio se de aviso oportuno a la población para que se establezca el cerco sanitario respectivo”, finalizó.
