– Preocupa a autoridades crecimiento de casos de sífilis; repunta hasta 30 por ciento la enfermedad

El municipio de Zamora ocupa el cuarto lugar en la cantidad de contagios del VIH – SIDA en Michoacán.
La población que registra esta enfermedad, en su mayoría, es de los 25 a los 44 años de edad, según la Secretaría de Salud, incluso en la actualidad se inicia la vida la sexual de manera temprana y no cuentan con la información necesaria para prevenir este tipo de padecimientos.
En la región de Zamora hay un total de 2 mujeres y 31 hombres con la enfermedad según Secretaría de Salud, sin contar que en instituciones como el IMSS o ISSSTE existe la posibilidad de que haya más casos de la enfermedad. Lo anterior se desprendió en un evento que tuvo la intención de conmemorar el Día Mundial de la Lucha contra el SIDA, en el que también participaron autoridades municipales, de salud y el Colectivo Voces Diversas.
“Si no nos unimos y sumamos esfuerzos se nos puede complicar de manera importante esta enfermedad, pero hay otra preocupación porque después de la pandemia se ha dado un crecimiento de casos de sífilis en el mismo sector de la población en donde ha repuntado hasta 30 por ciento la incidencia por la falta de prevención”, puntualizó el director de salud pública, Jaime Ramírez Oregel, en el marco de una jornada de conferencias realizadas en el Colegio de Michoacán (ColMich).
Finalmente, enfatizó que lamentablemente la sífilis es una enfermedad cada vez más difícil de tratar porque se ha vuelto resistente a los medicamentos y de allí que los jóvenes deben tomar conciencia para evitar que la situación se salga de control porque los contagios han incrementado de 2022 a 2023 y en consecuencia se requiere poner atención al problema de salud pública.
