– Carlos Soto anuncia que buscarán hermanamiento con alcaldía de California

Zamora y la alcaldía de Woodland, California, fortalecieron sus lazos de amistad luego de que una comitiva de los Estados Unidos recibiera las llaves de la ciudad de manos del presidente municipal, Carlos Soto Delgado, quien anunció que buscarán formalizar el hermanamiento con los estadounidenses para que haya un intercambio más profundo en materia de cultura, información y opciones para el desarrollo sostenible de ambas localidades.
“Hoy queremos ser parte de las grandes ciudades que tienen mucho que compartir de lo que pueden ser para el mundo y en esta relación binacional, hacemos firme nuestra intención de seguir en ese propósito, enfocados en fortalecer el rubro de la salud y la tecnología, además de lo que cada uno de los actores involucrados pueda compartir para el desarrollo y crecimiento de ambos”, puntualizó Carlos Soto, en el marco de una sesión solemne de Cabildo realizada en el segundo patio de la presidencia municipal, en donde también se sumaron
Agradeció a la comitiva de Estados Unidos porque durante su visita pasada a Woodland recibieron información precisa que fue brindada para reingeniar algunos proyectos del municipio tras el recorridos que hicieron a distintas oficinas de servicios públicos, transportes, comunicaciones, alumbrado, sector educativo y también por una planta central de tratamiento y distribución de agua para aprender cómo a través de la innovación y tecnificación se puede mantener un manejo óptimo del recurso natural.
Por su parte, los visitantes, encabezados por la alcaldesa de Woodland, Victoria Fernández, agradecieron la hospitalidad de las autoridades de Zamora y aseguraron que la intención es trabajar de manera conjunta en proyectos que puedan beneficiar a las autoridades competentes de ambos lugares porque el objetivo es que mejoren las condiciones de vida de los habitantes por medio de las relaciones que puedan establecer.
Finalmente, el presidente municipal, enfatizó que además de Woodland también se recibió a personas del club Rotario de Puerto de Cortés y Siguatepeque, Honduras, con la finalidad de también buscar estrechar lazos con otros puntos de Latinoamérica debido a que Zamora siempre será un espacio de puertas abiertas para el turismo, la economía y los intercambios.
